Lockton Affinity, a division of Lockton Companies, located in Overland Park, is looking to add an administrative member to the Excess & Surplus (E&S)team. This position will be r esponsible for providing assistance to the Internal Services Supervisor and E&S Coordinators along with following established procedures and guidelines as directed by the Plaza E&S Department. It may research quality issues and help with non-admitted state audits or projects. This position will also be responsible for learning many of the Office Services job duties and act in a back-up capacity to the switchboard.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitoring for receipt and compliance of the affidavit process for all programs. This includes, but is not limited to the 10 day letters. Learn the affidavit procedures for Integrity programs as well as other programs. Look for areas where improvements can be made and share that information with the E&S team. Assist in the development of internal workflows and procedures for assigned E&S and Office Services areas. Display strong numeric ability and math reasoning skills. Use ImageRight for transferring data to the “I” drive for the Plaza When assigned, assist with the review of E&S spreadsheet reports. Follow procedural guidelines for completing the review of all E&S reports. When assisting with E&S job tasks this position may be ask to communicate corrections to other associates and departments. Develop a strong working relationship with all the Affinity E&S coordinators and Office Services associates and be able to assist them as needed. Display very strong organization and problem solving for both E&S job tasks and Office Services. In a back-up capacity this position will provide switchboard coverage when needed. Key areas of Office Services will be a regular part of this job, which includes but is not limited to the Folding/Metering Machines, E.O.D. posting, preparing FEDEX, Packages and Opening Mail. Makes positive contribution to internal and external customer satisfaction and constantly strives to improve service and quality. Communicates in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive, pleasant work environment. Protects the confidentiality of information learned by performing the duties of the position. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE : High school degree and equivalent work experience. Proven experience with a variety of clerical duties. Personal presence to interface with all Affinity Associates depending on the job being performed. Strong knowledge in Microsoft Products, i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel. Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and research skills. Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workload to meet time sensitive deadlines.
